FAQ : REPEAT period underwear

We are campaigning for more equity and universal access to menstrual products because we are tired of overpriced menstrual products. With REPEAT we have been able to offer high quality at low prices by delivering the panties directly to you. This allows us to reduce our carbon footprint and at the same time avoid cost surcharges. We have consciously chosen to keep our profit small, unlike other brands that offer their menstrual panties at a price that’s three times higher. We are also the first inclusive French brand to target all "menstruating people" and not exclusively "women", because not only "women" have their periods.

Our period panties can absorb as much fluid as 4 tampons. For some people with periods, they can last for a whole night or a whole day. For others who have heavier bleeding, for example after stopping the pill, endometriosis or contraception with an IUD, even if the panties are fully sufficient for a while, it is advisable to wear additional protection if necessary or to change the panties during the day. 

Change the panties during the day. It is best to store the used panties in a waterproof cover.

This depends on how heavy your bleeding is and how you use the panties. If you want to use the panties as an extra protection in everyday life, for example at the beginning or end of your period when your bleeding is weaker, ONE REPEAT panty is enough. If you want to use the panties during your period, we recommend that you choose TWO or THREE panties (depending on how heavy your bleeding is) so that you can use one while the other is in the wash. Of course, the more panties you have, the more time you have to breathe and not have to wash so often.

No. The REPEAT panty was designed to replace all other traditional menstruation items. Of course, it can also be worn as additional protection to tampons and cups.

Not at all. The first layer of thin cotton is permeable and allows all the blood to pass through to the absorbent and retentive layer. So you don't come into contact with the blood. The cotton layer stays dry and soft and you don't feel damp. Our period underwear looks and feels just like normal underwear.

The inside of the REPEAT panties is made up of 3 different layers. The fabric that comes into contact with the skin and mucous membranes is cotton. The panties are extremely absorbent: The blood does not come into contact with the skin, which nips any moisture in the bud. 

The second layer is made of bamboo fibres. We chose bamboo fibres because they are naturally odourless, very absorbent and have an antibacterial effect. 

The last layer is made of so-called thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which is characterised by its high flexibility and resistance to further processing. This last layer is impermeable and yet very breathable. It retains blood and thus prevents potential leakage.

On the outside, the panties are made of bamboo viscose.

It couldn't be easier! :) Put on your Repeat panties in the morning and enjoy a worry-free day. They can be worn for an average of 12 hours, depending on the intensity of your bleeding and the day of your period (bleeding is usually the heaviest on the 2nd and 3rd day). No leaks, no feeling of moisture until the evening. Now you can take the panties off, rinse them in cold water and put them in the washing machine at 30°. Otherwise, you can wash them by hand with normal soap. Treat the panties in the just like you would treat your normal underwear. Just make sure you don't use fabric softener or bleach and don't tumble dry them to avoid damaging the fibres. :)

A pair of Repeat panties usually lasts just as long as an ordinary pair of pants. 

The lifespan of a pair of REPEAT pants is 3-5 years on average, depending on use and care. The performance of your pants will remain the same; however, it is quite normal that wear marks may appear on the fabric after some time. However, some of our Repeaters use our Repeat Undies not only during their period but every day to prevent white discharge or bladder weakness, for example.  

In the end, the Repeat Undies behave like any other garment: the more often you change it, the longer it will last.

That's exactly what they were designed for. :) The REPEAT panties are made of fabric and can be reused for many years. Simply rinse them in cold water and wash them at 30° in the washing machine or alternatively wash them by hand with mild soap to avoid damaging the fibres.

Not at all! The fabrics we have chosen are thin and therefore very pleasant to wear on the skin. They provide optimal comfort. The panties are only less than 2mm "thick".

Yes! Unlike conventional disposable sanitary towels, there are no unpleasant odours.

Our size range currently range from 34 to 52.

Yes! The Repeat Undies are free from all animal fibres.

Our panties were not originally designed to be worn in water. But the testimonials of many repeaters say that wearing the panties while swimming in the sea or lake is not a problem. 

However, we do not recommend wearing the Undies in the swimming pool.

No! Unlike conventional menstrual panties and reusable pads on the market, our Repeat Undies do not contain any metallic nanoparticles.

Whether in the office or in a hammock, sitting in our Undies for long periods of time is no problem at all. A pair of panties can last a minimum of 8 hours and up to 24 hours. It depends on your cycle: on days 2 and 3 of your period, the blood flow is known to be much stronger, which is why the panties cannot be worn for as long as on other days.

We use natural materials such as cotton and bamboo, which is processed in a responsible workshop in Shantou, China. In addition to the controlled and certified materials used, our workshop respects ethical and ecological quality standards, which can be confirmed by various certificates on wage and working conditions. "Made in Europe" does not always necessarily mean a reduced ecological footprint, but quite the opposite! With regard to menstrual panties, which require technology made of special fabrics, the massive import from abroad (e.g. from India, Turkey, China or Egypt) is not an ecological solution, but one of the causes of global textile pollution and climate change. 

That's why we did a lot of research and now work with people who are masters of their trade in terms of comfort and absorbency, with the smallest possible ecological footprint. Our supply chains are short (1-3 days as our warehouse is in mainland France) and our prices are very fair.

It's simple: It's a combative decision that our small team made a year ago - we want to make hygiene and menstrual products accessible to ALL and thus free many people from their precarious, social situation. We have waited far too long - it is time to put an end to menstrual poverty.

No, not at all. It is made of cotton inside, just like normal underwear.

Yes, many users wear them for sports and the feedback is very positive. Some wear their REPEAT panties for football, others for yoga, pole dancing or even horse riding. :) To find out if you would like to wear them during sports, we recommend that you first test the panties at your leisure (for example, at home in the evening or in a place where you can quickly go to the toilet). Once you get used to the REPEAT panties, you will quickly find out on which days of your period you can wear them and whether you want to wear them during sports.

That depends entirely on the strength and consistency of your bleeding or even the day of your period. On average, and according to the experiences of thousands of repeaters who have been using our products for several months, a REPEAT panty can be worn for 12 hours. This is an average value, i.e. depending on the bleeding and the day, they can also be worn for a shorter or longer period of time (it's best to try it out for yourself). As for absorbency: the briefs can absorb as much fluid as 4-5 tampons, depending on the bleeding.

Yes, many of our repeaters suffer from endometriosis or have heavier bleeding during their periods after stopping the pill. Some of our repeaters use the IUD for contraception and also lose more blood after its insertion. 

So far, we have only received good feedback from women who suffer from heavier bleeding and discharge. 

Our recommendation: Try the panties first on days when your bleeding is lighter. This will help you to better assess your period and its intensity. Gradually (about 2-3 cycles) you will get to know your cycle perfectly and know better than anyone how long you can wear your REPEAT panties depending on the day of your cycle.

We can give you the same answer here that you can find one question above about endometriosis. Test the REPEAT panties beforehand, on the days when your period is weaker, to know the strength of your blood flow and adjust the length of time you wear them and the frequency of changes accordingly.

Yes, the absorbent zone extends over the bottom to the top of the panties and covers the entire pubic bone at the front. Our repeaters who wear the panties at night have given us very positive feedback. They report that they can sleep comfortably and peacefully at night and don't feel like they have their period at all. :)

Originally, we developed the REPEAT panties for wearing during your period. But many repeaters soon told us that they also use our Undies for mild bladder weakness. We can therefore tell you with a clear conscience that our panties also work and can be worn for mild bladder weakness.

Absolutely 🙂 Many young parents use our REPEAT panties after pregnancy.

In some rare cases, some clots may not be absorbed. But this should not be a problem: Just wipe them off with some toilet paper.

After placing your order, you have exactly 1 hour to cancel it. After this time, a cancellation is unfortunately no longer possible. 

If you still want a refund after this cancellation period, take the order home and return it unopened (i.e. in the original packaging and in perfect condition) to our returns address within 14 days of receiving your order. Damaged or incomplete products, as well as damaged or opened packaging will not be taken back and a refund is then excluded in this case.

That depends on where you are. Orders processed in France take 1-3 business days. Deliveries abroad can take between 7 and 16 days. The exact delivery details will be sent to you in your confirmation email.
